1997 Fiesta LX Diesel 1.8 Endura - druids98
Guys,

I bought a 1.8 Fiesta LX Diesel in the summer, 55k on the clock which appears genuine given S/H & MOT's.

I have noticed a few things crop up and wondered if you could shed some light on it for me and advise the best course of action etc...

1. Carpet in the driver side appears damp/wet. - How/Where do I look to get this sorted, probably a common fault.
2. Drivers door lock not working 100%, how much is this likely to cost me?, who is best to fix it?
3. Just spotted a rust bubble on the passenger A pillar when i opened the door - Suggestions on this please, would it be because of the smoothed off rain gutters on the bug-eyed facelift?
4. Any ideas on cost for front discs/pads these are worn, also how much is a dealer service compared to general garage?
5. Anything else I should watch out for???

Used to have a Polo GTI which I got rid of for cheaper more economical motoring hence all the questions....

First place to check is the pollen filter cover. Maek sure it's securely on.

Carpet wet: I had the same problem with my Focus but on the passenger side. Traced to the pollen filter not being replaced properly after a service, the next time it rained hard splish splash in the passenger foot well. I assume that the pollen filter on a Fiesta is on the drivers side.
