clamping area. - ladas are cool
today i parked my mothers citroen BX in a clamping zone, but i put the car in its lowest suspension height setting, so the clamper couldnt put a clamp on the car, it was brilliant seeing him trying to fit a clamp on it :-)

p.s. he wasnt around when i started the car up, but as soon as the engine was running he ran out of his office carrying a clamp, i was in a panic waiting for the car to go to its proper height, and then i had to quickly drive away.

Gotta give it to you - nicely done!

Re: Clampers - ladas are cool
it was great watching him trying all different ways to put the clamp on, he was even trying to put the clamp on upside down, this is one of the reasons that i like these cars :-)
Re: Clampers - markymarkn
lol. a classic.

almost justifies buying a citroen...

(almost but not quite)

hahaha. :-)
Re: Clampers - Albert Reynolds
I had an MGBGT some years ago with wire wheels held on by a large octagonal 'nut'. I returned to find it wheelclamped and removed the wheel, clamp still on, by sliding the tool for removing the hubs behind the clamp.

I put the spare on, and lay the wheel with clamp on display under the rear glass hatch. Then I rang the clamping outfit and told them that if they didn't remove their clamp from my spare wheel within 10 minutes I'd consider it a gift, and drive off. A priceless experience.

Is it worth the hassle? Just go along with him!

For all we know it could be true....

(remember, for every ten things he says, 6 are true. this could be one of the 6)
Re: clamping area. - ladas are cool

Yeah - very funny . . . . . and I woke up with Jennifer Lopez this morning dressed as a Traffic Warden and covered in LPG and VW Injector Cleaner.
Re: clamping area. - Mark (Brazil)

Why were you dressed as a traffic warden ?

Re: clamping area. - Mark (Brazil)
I admire his honesty, although he may have a self-image problem, what with regarding himself as a sick sexual fantasy.
Re: clamping area. - Guy Lacey
I'll regret that honest grammatical mistake until the day I die.
Re: clamping area. - Brill
