This is your chance to have your own law!

I am sure we could come up with some great motoring laws eg make middle lane hogging an offence which is punishable by listening to hours of des o'connor / watching pop idol / being force fed pot noodle :-)

Silly or sensible they want people's suggestions.

As a matter of interest has anyone any idea why the middle lane is hogged? I know it is frowned upon but if you have noticed the state of the motorway`s ie slow lane the lorries do tend to make a mark in the tarmac.Causing the car to run in the track`s.Could be a reason for people to go to sleep Knowing the car will reach destination without actually driving.I do get annoyed when anyone mention`s this.If the government spent the money on road repair`s as it is supposed to.we would not need a suggestion panel.I would have thought it was all pretty obvious.Well at least to the user`s

Sometimes you know if you go into the left hand lane you are going to have grievous trouble getting out again safely; similarly between middle and outside at times.

Make convicted criminals immune from human rights during the course of their sentence. Anyone who knowingly commits a crime that warrants a sentence has the one thing that defines humanity missing, compassion. They have no thought for anyone else but themselves.
On a less serious note, it should be illegal to own a motor vehicle if you don't have your own parking space (and/or use it).

I totaly agree, you don't own a horse unless you have somewhere to stable it

I think that is already the law in Switzerland and Japan, you have to have to be able to prove you have somewhere to park before you are allowed to buy a car. There are some selfish wotsits that live in my street that have 3 cars and live in a terrace with no off road parking. There is some old bloke that has two cars and an enormous lorry. The lorry never moves and is sat right in front of someone else's front room!

After trying to travel in the inside lane of the M6 yesterday through Brum I can understand why people sit in the middle lane. The inner lane is in a dangerous condition. It is particularly bad through the advised 50 section where the are lines tangently across the road. Hit one of those with a nice pot hole and you don't quite know where you are going to end up. I gave up and just wandered up the middle lane but I did make the effort to try and make sure I was always catching and passing other cars in the inner lane, unlike the duffer in the honda accord that just sat in the middle lane and made no attempt to move over when there was clear road all to his left for miles on end.

Why does everybody say, "On a less serious note" and or apologise for their words? Come on. We all mean it. Stick to it and really bring back realistic punishment. Why just lock the Ruggers up. There's plenty of litter to collect, (by hand of course), not with a stick. My God, how their backs will ache. Then road signs to be cleaned. Dustbins to be emptied. The list goes on. This is not a fantasy, but a simple reality that could be easily employed. God, the numbskulls would soon be pd right off and all whilst wearing an illuminated something or other to show the taxpayers that maybe, just maybe they,(we) were getting our own back. I love to support genuine people in genuine need, but with a passion, I hate wasters.

Regards to you all.

And during the commission of their crime!

Tea,

I assume you mean the M6 elevated section and I agree its in a dangerous state. The overbanding is lethal, especially in the wet and double especially on a motorbike!
