garage air (sorry o.o.o) - robson
Is it the latest fashion to have out of (order air pumps )in garages ?
I live in Poole Dorset, B.P Out of order 4 months ,so try another garage ,B.P again (o.o.o), Texaco (o.o.o) Shell (o.o.o) .
Then 4 miles later Tesco to the rescue and it was free!.

Try Shell at Darby's Corner. Pump working fine and it's free. It also seems to be very accurate.

And if you should see a silver "X" 156 Sportwagon there, toot and wave. I live about half a mile from Darby's corner and always fill up at the Shell garage there.

If you get a toot from a matt white E reg Sapphire do not be alarmed as it will not be a BHP challenge.

Always amuses me to see signs saying "free air" at petrol stations.

Must be something the Exchequer missed..........!! :-)

Ah, but the quality varies. Some can't supply the air fast enough to inflate a tyre from flat and spring it onto the rim of the wheel.

Many stations where I live have a little lady or two in uniform shirt,hot pants and trainers who wheel out a contraption like a Calor gas cylinder on a trolley and go round the tyres doing the needful while the tank is filling up. It's free but I always give 'em a few coins.

My, what a disgustingly low-brow affair!

I think the company which supplied recon. 'nozzles' for the compressors is no longer in business, so when the bozzle/gun get stolen or damaged, that's it.
