Last Year, Andrew English refused to award the 307 any points because he thought the pedals were too close together.

1. Fiat Uno - my first new car. Great to drive, but had oil leak from gearbox via the speedo cable exit. Also, let water into the rear footwell.
2. Fiat 128 mark 2. Mums car from 1978 I think. Bright acid green but what a car to drive. The next car was an Alfasud and I think that the Fiat was better. I really miss it.
3. Who rememebers the Rover 3500S P6 shape. It used 5star petrol and the back didn't know what grip was!

Not one I'm afraid (glad to say??) Though I've always fancied a Cit CX Turbo 2 and once borrowed a Renault 16 GT (I think it was Gt) and was amazed by the combination of performance and comfort and roominess. Guess they've all rusted away by now

1984 Fiat Uno - Owned new in '86, used in '96. Good in their day.
1983 Audi 100 - Excellent car in all respects.
1980 Lancia Delta - Interesting but sluggish.
1974 Citroen CX - Owned three, quite remarkable.
1972 Audi 80 - Owned three inc a rare 2dr GT. Nice FWD handling.
1970 Citroen GS - Owned two. Amazing ride for the size.
1963 Rover 2000 - Owned loads (and V8s). Old fashioned carriage.

notice all the fords are dead ? I currently have a 1986 Golf Gti its in better condition now after 17 years than some of the fords I have had after 5 !

in 1987-90 both my step-father and father-in-law had a CX GTi apiece so at high days and holidays the cul-de-sac was blocked by Citroen CXs. Lovely. (And in-laws who get on with one another? That's another story altogether).

I had a J reg Uno in 1998 as my first car. Surprised to see it on that list though as mine really lived up to it's FixItAgainTony acronym!!

Just one - Rover 2000.
A 1971 TC (Twin Carb), poor man's V8 IMHO and my V8 3500S.
As for rear-wheel grip, despite my best efforts, it's very difficult to get it out of shape, the best I ever managed was a slight fishtail coming out of a sharp bend.
