Westfield XTR2 - BaseRSXmanual
I watched the Top Gear of the Westfield XTR2, it blew me away! Anyone on here have one?

But what about the Ariel Atom 2? I know its not production like the XTR2 but the Atom 2 has a weight ratio of 500bhp per ton!! That beats the XTR2 and the Zonda!! (and the F1 I guess too!).

Not sure... didn't the McLaren F1 possibly have 544 bhp/ton?

And doesn't the XTR2 ALWAYS get beaten by the Radical SR3 ? (lots more money though)

You'll need your oilskins and sou'wester in an Atom!

well, there's a thing called the Tiger Z100.
driven by *two* motorcycle engines giving 0-60 in 2.7 secs.
From around £15k + VAT as a kit. I *really* wanted one, but don't have a garage and need my license......

Interestingly, it's available as a 4-wheel drive.. Now that would be fun.

The Caterham R500 can go from zero to 100 and back to zero in 11.44 seconds, which I think is the current record. Good acceleration needs good brakes!

Oops! I'm out of date - they got it down to 11.25 seconds recently, quicker than an Enzo or Maclaren F1, although possibly not as comfortable...

No, but I stopped for petrol at the newish services at the East end of the A50 last Sunday morning. I was virtually surrounded but bike-engine powered Westfields and Caterhams. Awesome noise and spectacle! Respect if anyone here was among them.

I guessed they were bound for a track day at nearby Donnington.

The bike-engined cars are impressive, but I think Caterham have stuck to conventional motors. The R500, amazingly, uses a modified Rover K-series! Makes you wonder about Japanese horses...
