Peugeot 306 Roof bars - terminally bewildered
I've recently bought a 1997 Peugeot 306 meridian, complete with Peugeot roof bars. I'd like to remove the roof bars, but haven't the faintest idea as to how. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Assuming it's the same setup as the 1993 model ...

Open both doors on one side.
Identify the piece of rubber trim which runs from the bottom of the windscreen and over both doors.
Lift this trim, starting at the back of the back door.
Don't pull it off completely - just lift it from above both doors, leaving it still attached around the windscreen.
You will now see the screws/bolts holding the roof bars in place.
Unscrew.
Repeat on other side.
Lift bars off.

Once the bars are off, replace the bolts to prevent water getting in the holes.
Replace trim.

(If your car is like mine, you can also admire the rusty seam underneath the trim while you're at it.)

Excellent. Success! Thanks a million for your help.

Minor deposits from roof bars underneath the trim, but not much else...

Thanks again
