Temporary power loss while pulling away - Primeria Richard
Help,

I have a 2.0 1992 Primera with 140K on the clock. I've had it for 8 years and until recently its never missed a beat.

The coil failed last week and it was replaced with a second hand one. However since then I have been experiencing intermittent problems whist pulling away or accelerating from low speed. The power completely disappears for a fraction of a second, sometimes 2-3 times in a row and then it will all be over and everything back to normal. No other problems have been found with started, idling or accelerating at higher speeds. Performance is not affected.

Could it be the coil having an intermittent fault or could it be something else? I have checked the plugs and they are fine. The Lambda sensor has also recently been changed. Could this be a clue?

Any help would be apreciated.

Have you tried checking the ignition leads, it may be that you may have a broken lead?
