In our local Admart (South West) an ad reads thus:
£5000 Reward for information leading to recovery
WJ 51 CRV
New BMW M3 in Phoenix Yellow with Kiwi Leather interior. Stolen from Bridgewater (Somerset) on June 25th 2003. Vehicle now believed to be in Bristol area.

Obviously I can't reproduce the picture here but it looks like a 3 door 3 series type body.
If anyone is looking to buy similar, watch out!

I wonder why someone would offer £5k reward for a car return? Why dont they just claim on their insurance?
Maybe they dont have insurance. oops i've just answered my own question......doh.

The excess is probably more than the £5k, or it could have been stored, or was it stolen with the keys inside it, say from a forecourt?

It's on autotrader at a dealer called Taunton Road car centre. This is in the Bridgewater place it said it was stolen from. Luckily I went to the dealer's website before ringing up the poor chap/chappess who has probably had a million phone calls about this already!

The excess would in no way be more than £5000. Its only a £40k car.
If they left it with the keys in it from a forecourt they probably deserve to have it nicked for being so dumb.....

maybe the advertiser was hoping to be offered a M3 for £5k.. "not the one you lost guv but I found it in a ...." :-)
