Best Rover Parts - NB
Hi
I will shortly be requiring some spares for my Rover 114SLi such as doors and trim. Where is the best place to get these. What I was looking for are good second hand parts that I can order on-line and get delivered at a reasonable price. I live in the london area. I would consider new parts for some small parts if there is a decently priced Rover parts dealer that delivers at a good price.

Get a copy of Exchange and Mart - there are (were) a couple of places in there. There's a place in Selinas Lane Chadwell Heath (020 8599 0308) and is (was) a place in Leyton, in Lea Bridge Road, (020 8556 3399 or try 020 8558 9801) Haven't rang them for some time so numbers may have changed/gone. My book shows one other number for Rover spares - 020 8534 9024.

Thanks! I will try these places but for now I have just had a thought. Are the doors the on the Rover 100 the same as the Rover Metro? It may be a daft question but all I do is drive it!

Yes they are, at least post 1990. Presumably you will be carrying over things like locks from the old car?

I have been out and about and I have been told the back doors are the same but the front are a bit different. Any how I have cleaned the car up a bit and it doesnt look that bad. So heres a question again from a complete novice. How much would it cost to respray 2 doors and a rear wing? I know this would vary but I just want an idea. It doesnt require a great deal of rubbing down as the damage is just blistered paint from a fire and I am not after the best paint job in the world just an average job that matches the standard Rover orange peel style.

bestofbritish are also pretty good, I used to have a card with their website but I couldn't find it, however a search should come up with their address.
Again, they are a mail order company.

Reckon on about 80 - 100 quid a panel, more or less depending on how good a job you want, if it's metallic or a difficult shade to match in then it'll need to be feathered into the next panel which obviously costs more...
