Should not be that difficult to source a part for a Vauxhall Vectra, hardly rare.

My suggestion would be to go to Vauxhall. The cost savings on a simple sensor at factors will be tiny and at least Vauxhall should have the correct one saving you time.

Providing of course that the sensor is available as a stand alone part.

You are probably going to need the coolant tank,not the sensor.

If that's true, I'd think the cost from Vauxhall might start to look less trivial.

In that case, having found out what the cost of the new part is, I'd politely stall and hie me to my friendly local scrappies, assuming those are still a thing in the Yook.

Dunno that car specifically (I had one as a company car many moons ago but never fiddled with it) but that part should be easy to remove. Might just unplug without tools.

OP, friendly local scrappies have been known to..er...price opportunistically, so it might be worth enquiring what a fair ballpark price would be here before getting into negotiations.
