I notice that some cars have the rad. cooling fan controlled via the ignition circuit and some via a permanent live feed.
My latest car has the ignition feed and is therefore often switched off with the fan in operation.
Should I consider re-wiring the circuit to give a permanent live feed?
Would there be any benefit?

Sorry Doc,
I have no idea how they're controlled on the Nissan Micra.
A quick phone call to the auto electrician at your local dealer might help. Alternatively, furtive browsing through the Haynes manual at the local Halfords ?
