New used car-advice needed - jojo
Hi

Having got to the end of my tether with my K reg ZX, too many problems to mention and a big money drain which is a shame as it is very nice to drive, I need to buy something else but I have a very narrow budget of about 2K. I want to part ex the ZX and was thinking of the following:

Astra - had MK2 one of these previously and never ever let me down but how do the Mk3 versions fare?

Ford Mondeo - heard about the costly clutch change but sounds like a good used buy

Any other ideas?

How about a Xantia? Plenty around for £2k so you can take your time and pick a good one. Also worth looking at the Primera. Great handling car, although somewhat lacking in image.

Thanks but...it's French!! I am a bit nervous about buying another Citroen or Pug or even worse Renault (ZX is my 3rd!) and have heard Xantia's suffer from suspension problems - I had a BX so I know a bit about the self levelling suspension system etc.
