Silly car nicknames - Ian (Cape Town)
From a local forum. I found it rather amusing ...
This is the second time I've had an Avis 318i, and both times I've seen the same thing written on the keyring. First time around I thought it was just somebody being a comedian. This time round, I figured that it's an internal nickname and I think it's cool.

The key-ring as got "White BMW 318 G-String". I assume it gets this name because of the look of the facelifted front end. It does look a bit like a G-string if you look long and, well, hard... ;o)

talking of silly things, I saw an advert in a free car ads magazine for the following.

LR Series 3 - ideal for moose hunting, but watch out for the smelly beaver - £1695
astra 1.4 auto - no discount for anyone slightly resembling Long John Silver - £1495
renault 19 diesel - previously sold by ourselves but the police made us buy it back - £995
kia pride only 27000 miles - some cars loose a few quid as they get older, this one lost a few miles - £695
fiesta 5 door - starting a mass fight at aa pacifists convention would be easier (bring your own jump leads) - £795
9 month MOT cert comes with free lump of scrap - £50

Wasn't Dan's Bangers was it? I don't know the guy/company at all, but he's based in Gwent, Wales, and his ads are well worth reading. It doesn't quite sound like his style though.
