Hyundai Tucson - Brakes operate without pedal - her41d

Hi, My 2005 Tucson brakes can operate via the ABS without pressing the pedal. This can happen when the key is turned or driving down the road. ABS light turns on, then TCS OFF light, then 4WD SYSTEM WARNING light. When all 3 lights are on the ABS is disabled and the car drives well, the intermittent brake operation no longer happens. I have fitted another yaw / G sensor, but no difference. Do I need to visit Hyundai to get ABS codes read? Thanks!

Was the road snowy or icy?

Good thinking Bathtub tom, but on dry road either static or driving the car 'thinks' it is sliding so applies the ABS and 4wd.

Question. Why did you replace the yaw sensor?

How long have you had the car? Has it always done it? Was anything done to it immediately before this started happening? Could it be something do do with the tyres, presures or different sizes?

Had car over 5 years, has been great. Just got codes read, showing offside front ABS sensor open/short circuit. Replaced, now perfect. Cheers for thoughts.

Last year had ABS rings broken on both front drive shafts, codes also gave issue with yaw sensor but did not replace as £200 ish. Thought it may be somehow connected to issue.
