The clutch on my 08 accent went out at 72k. The dealership charged $1700 for a new one a year ago, now after a year and 15k miles it is slipping badly. The dealership has their heels dug in on their 12 month 12k mile warrenty. I talked to another mechanic who said they probably installed it incorrectly. He also said the going rate for a new clutch is $900. I thought 72k was early for a clutch to go, but 15k is not acceptable. Any thoughts on getting this resolved?
