2004 vectra c 2.0 dti - Vectra c DTI erg issues - buddy holly

hi I'm new to this so forgive my errors

I have a 04 Vectra c 2.0dti with issues its only got 82500 miles

it wont rev past 3000rpm and no boost car drives fine starts all the time.

tech 2 said p0400 so fitted new egr valve from euro car parts (recon new)

put back on machine and still same p0400 engine light and limp mode changed valve again with another recon one from same place and still same.

can anyone help me heard nightmare story of fuel pump but it starts and drives and amazing on fuel

Speaking with experience of the same engine in a Zafira A, you might start by taking a close look at the many vacuum hoses and their rubber connectors. A vacuum leak can cause the symptoms mentioned.

I had a saab 93 diesel which I think has the same engine.
I had the same problem which turned out to be the maf sensor which had an intermittent fault relating to temperature. Fault was more frequent when cold.
New maf fitted in minutes , problem disappeared .
Sorry, can't remember fault code tho

Have you checked the hoses and connections to/from the turbocharger and intercooler?
