Ford Focus 02 plate - Where is the Reverse light fuse to? - jaruler

Hi all my reversing light is not working and i think it may be the fuse. Where can i find which fuse this is please so i can change it. i have tried searcing on google but cannot find wat i am after as so much nonsense comes up diagrams/pictures too small.

Look in the vehicle owner's handbook - it will tell you where the fuses are, which fuse runs the reverse light and what it's current value is.

i have looked at the manual already but no mention of where the find that particuler fuse.

It could be the fuse, but in my experience is more likely to be the reversing switch on the gearbox.

Ahh sounds tricky. is this something i can solve? best approach? check fuse first i wouldassume which is number 53 insie the car?

Try fuse number 53 in the passenger compartment fuse panel below steering wheel.

Check fuse #39,red 10 amp ,in fuse box behind glove box.There is no fuse box by steering column on these.Also check the rear lamp holder,as these can fill up with water.

I assume that you have checked that the bulb is OK first?

If fuse OK then bypass gearbox switch by connecting the two wires on the switch together. If light goes on on then the switch is faulty. Replace it and all should be OK.
