Ford Mondeo Mk 1V - Cambelt Change interval - farmer fred

What is the correct interval to change the cambelt on a Ford Mondeo TDCI Auto Reg KD57NSO first registered 08-10-2007.

My local Ford dealer says125,000miles. the ETIS sheet says 62,500 miles.

Does anyone know which is correct Please.

If its the same as the Citroen/Peugeot engine they give 100,000 miles.

It was 125,000 miles or 10 years in the service book of my 2008 Mondeo TDCI

Whilst it is very much down to the owner when the belt is changed, I personally would not go too much beyond 60k. I would also change the tensioners as well as the belt as a siginfiant number of failures are related to the tensioners falling apart and throwing off the belt.

Thanks for the replys but I have just found on another advice site the following.

02/2007 onwards Mondeo 2.ol tdcI timing belt replacement is125.000 miles or 10 years

if it is an atomatic between 02/2007 and 06/2008 the beltchange is 62.500 or 5 years.

Why should being an automatic be significant? My car engine No 7S60710

If you lookup your vehicle then click "Generate a FordService schedule" then you can generate a PDF service schedule for every year of your vehicle's life. It's saying 5 years for belts.
