Anyone had any experience of these or similar operators on bonnet chips in metallic paint?

Yes. They attended to numerous stone chips on our metallic paint two or three years ago. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price. I would recommend them 100%.

What are their charges like ?
SWMBO's car has a couple of deep scratches, one of which is also discoloured by the paint of the bike that cause the scratch - do you think they could deal with that sort of thing ?

It cost £50 (2/3 years ago). Job done on our drive.
No harm in asking them for a qoute. Offer to take the car to them for the estimate.

I've checked the website and yellow pages and they obviously don't have a franchise anywhere near me, but i'm doing some ringing round from yellow pages.

Ring the number on the website and a nice lady will give you the number of the nearest operator. Just did it 5 minutes ago.

I tried the 'find local operator' on the web site, and it tells me there are none near home and none near work, which is odd,, as the address for the local chipsaway franchise in yellow pages is less than three miles away.
However, all he can say when asked to give me a rough price for fixing a scratch on the drivers door of a metallic silver astra is 'body shop job mate - nowt I can do for you'
