can anyone suggest on why the speedometer on my 306 only works when the car is greater than 85 degree celcious. Would suspect failure of the gearbox hall effect sensors?? pls help

greater than 85 degree celcious.
Farenheit, surely?

Or are you refering to engine temperature, rather than car temperature?

Sounds like something has to thaw out from engine heat before working, but 306 speedos aren't cable-driven, or are they?
My HDI never gets to 85° (yes, engine temp, in Celsius - or as I was brought up, Centigrade). Should it?

sorry dude, its when the engine temperature gets to 85 degree celcious, or perhaps driving around the tropical country town for 20 kilometres then only the Speedo work. I am sure that the 306 aren't cable driven. thanks Andrew
