Nissan - Lost service history - Justin Case

I've lost / mislaid the service history for my car, no doubt this wil be an issue when coming to sell it, is there any way I can obtain the service history, Is there a national database similar to MOT, car was not serviced at Nissan dealerships.

I've never heard of one - I would guess not.

If you know where the car was serviced (especially if it was done at just one or two places) you could approach them and ask if they have kept records. If they have I still don't know how you would use the info. Compile a sheet with dates/mileage/work done and ask someone to sign?

Brilliant plan. Unfortunately it will look pretty bad when the OP sells the car since its a Nissan.

It may be cheaper to buy a forged history from an auction site.

Which is why service stamps are meaningless without accompanying receipts.

Almost meaningless if they are reproduced batchwise in a brand new service-book. Much better than nothing if in the original one from the selling dealer. If the car was first sold at a Nissan dealership the records should be available for the duration of the warranty; if not, a independent dealer may be able to provide an official record.

Otherwise I fear you may be on your own ....

This is the sort of personal backstabbing that get on my wick on this site. It's one of the main reasons I left here a few years ago. I've recently come back and see that the children still haven't grown up yet.

True, though it's a small minority that either provokes it or actually dishes it out.

I don't let it get to me. That's exactly what these people want. You always have the option of walking away again if you can't abide it.
