2002 Honda Jazz - SRS light not coming ON briefly during Ignition ON - MSK

Hi Good morning.

I own a HONDA JAZZ 2002 MY.

I have a problem with SRS. the SRS warning light dosent come ON briefly during ignition ON. I cheked with a OBD2 scan tool NO DTC. i did clear DTC as well but still the light is not coming ON.

Anybody know what will be the problem.

how to check the SRS warning light bulb whether its fused or not.

Unfortunately the only way is to take it out, not sure how easy this is, and either try a new one or test the old with a continuity tester (Ohms on a multimeter)

When I have to replace my first dashboard light I will replace the lot with 'everlasting' LEDs...

Unfortunately the only way is to take it out, not sure how easy this is,

provided it's not a canbus car and you can get the wiring diagrams (usually in the Haynes) you should be able to use an ohmeter across the wires that feed the warning light from whichever connector is easiest to get to under the cowl. You're looking to see about 30 ohms.

The srs warning light on these is an led device soldered onto the printed circuit board of the dash pod.It is not possible to use an ohnmeter to test it.Access to the warning light is virtually impossible without taking the complete pod apart,including removal of the gauge needles.I would suspect the light has been deleted or covered to prevent it showing.hth

Thanks for that Elek. If it's an LED then the chances of failure compared to that of a filament bulb is extremely low. Might be worth the OP checking connections and looking for chaffed wires before going to the trouble of all that disassembly.
