Speeding Defence in Court - Nick Ireland
Today's Daily Torygraph has a report of court proceedings in which a man, caught on a police video taken in a police car was caught doing over 110mph in his Aston Martin. The traffic officer could not state positively that the accused had been at the wheel and the defence solicitor persuaded the court not to view the footage of the driver getting out of the car on the grounds that getting out of the car was not, in itself, an offence and that the film was therefore irrelevant. Amazing! Might be an interesting case to bear in mind!

And the fact that the innocent driver was a (fairly) famous footballer had nothing to do with it.
