Yes you will need a specific attachment for your pressure washer, if you have big name one you should be able to get the adapter eg Karcher. If you buy the SNowfoam ( which is just car shampoo) from a reputable shop and buy a brand name then there shouldnt be any problems. DO follow the instructions otherwise it will not foam up as it should. Karcher snowfoam adapter kit is about £40.00

I found that with domestic kit the snow-foam does not work that well and you need the more powerful pressure washer and the correct snow-foam kit which is quite expensive.

You need a snow foam 'gun.' This is really a special lance with a bottle to hold the snow foam mix that fits your pressure washer. You need to buy a snowfoam 'gun' suitable for your pressure washer as these can be make specific. Again, visit a reputable car detailing web shop and search through the products to find the right one.

Snowfoam will NOT damage any paintwork even touch up paint. There are many makes of snowfoam out there. Some quite foamy and some not. Again, reading the product review helps.

The snowfoam isnt used poured neat into the bottle and usually mixed 25% snowfoam, 75% water. Some people advocate using warm water in the bottle mix but as the pressure washer is also pumping cold water through the mix, I dont see the point.

You can adjust the thickness of the foam onto the car via most quality snowfoam gun. The idea is to get the foam to stick to the car and remain on the paint work for a good 4 or 5 mins so it soften any dirt, dust etc and let it run off the paintwork. If it runs off quicker, the mix is likely too thin.

Oh, and the process is messy as the SF goes everywhere. If you have a shared driveway, you might also cover your neighbour's car.
