Mini Roadster Cooper S - Extended warranty, as good as roadside recovery? - Brennon

Car type not really the issue here. Can anybody offer me a view on whether or not they think a comprehensive extended warranty, is as good as having roadside recovery such as RAC, AA, Greenflag, etc?

ASked the ? of the one recommended on here, but it was the sort of answer you might expect from anybody trying to sell you something and worried that anything negative might put you off.

I've read through the the T&Cs online and it seems to read the same as radside recovery. However, you can never be completely sure untill you're making that phone call on the side of the M6 at 1am on a wet and windy night in February!

I think most posters here would suggest the best warranty is one offered by a car maker, either as an extension when the initial warranty runs out or as found on approved used cars from dealerships.

Some here might pay for an afermarket warranty, some wouldn't.

Breakdown cover is totally different, availablefor a fraction of the cost of warranty, from around £42 a year for full recovery to your home or garage of your choice, they would probably fix a something obvious and simple at the roadside if they had a suitable part or the right tools.

I extended the pan-european warranty through Honda on my Accord bought pre-reg in 2015, by two years and it includes europe wide breakdown, personal assistance, hire car hotel etc if necesary, just as the original 3 year warranty does.
