Ford Galaxy - 2009 2.0 tdci Galaxy Ghia Dash fault - hiswife

Just a quick question you will all know the answer to, I have a 2009 2.0 Tdci with a dash that does tricks like info display will show different pages at the same time and dials that freeze. Now I have noticed that I can make these things happen by toutching or shaking the cluster, it's removed from the dash but pluged in, please don't just say New Dash.

There are many repair firms that can be found on web that can repair these.Once the dash pod is disconnected,you will not be able to start the car,as the immobiliser info is stored in the dash electronics. That is why a s/hand unit is not really an easy solution.

There are lots of vids on repairing these on Youtube.

Yours soundss like either a crack in the PCB or a dry solder joint.

Time to get the magnifying glass out & inspect it very carefully.

You will need someone with a fine tip soldering iron & a very steady hand to repair.
