If you are the owner, ask Nissan. Or check all nissan dealers in that area. No stickers in the rear screen or numberplates? ask the previous owner? look at the mot history to see where it was first mot'd, that might give youa clue.

The only way you might be able to do this would be by contacting Nissan GB, who might have details of where a vehicle was supplied to. Or calling dealerships up and asking.

In either of those cases, however, I'd imagine the catch-all of 'data protection' would be given as a reason for refusal.

Another alternative MIGHT be to look in the documentation that came with the vehicle when it was new. The dealer might have 'stamped' the PDI, for example.

Does anyone know how to trace a vehicle back to the dealership that registered it please?

I am aware of the relevance of the first two letters; i.e. YK means that it was registered within the Yorkshire area but I am looking to find if there is a way to confirm which dealership in Yorkshire, for instance, that registered it.

If the vehicle is registered, then it is not a new vehicle. It might be pre registered.

Anyone buying this vehicle will be registered as the 2nd owner on the log book (V5). If you have bought this vehicle, the previous owners details will be on your copy of the V5
