Renault Clio - Question: Renault drive shafts - Megane and Clio - Tim Wild

A fair few years ago my dad had a Renault Megane Scenic. He didn't keep it for long when he found out there is a significant problem with the design of the offside drive shaft. There is a splined coupling joining two sections of the shaft together. Sometimes known as a 'Muff' cooupling. The splines on this coupling shred meaning drive is lost on that side.

I'm currently considering buying a 2014/2015 Clio 1.5 dCI. Can anybody help me confirm if the Clio has the same problem as the Megane?

Thank you!

I think they are just regular driveshafts with the CV on the outer end and a sliding tripod type joint on the inners.
