Mazda6 - Dashboard warning light - thecloser

A warning light has just appeared on my dash display. It is a red icon indicating that the air bag/front seatbelt pretensioner system could be malfunctioning. The car is due for its MOT next week. Will the warning display be a 'fail'? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, an airbag light is a fail.

It is an Mot fail but common issue on many cars that'll bring on the SRS light is a loose connection under one of the front seats. Take a few minutes to push all the connectors together to make sure there's nothing loose or broken. It's common due to the Seat being moved around, more so if it's adjusted a lot.
