Is an aluminum car engine as durable as steel ? - FP

"Aluminum is a very flexible and heat resistant metal."

Actually, no. Pure aluminium is highly reactive. Its strength reduces above 100°C. It conducts heat much better than iron. As an alternative to steel it is not very flexible or strong.

"...more frequent cooling system maintenance is required." Not really. If it is used in the presence of other metals then there tends to be a reaction, which is why coolant has an additive to control this.

What "aluminium composite panel sheet" has to do with car engines I've no idea.

And the last sentence is pure gibberish.
