KIA Venga 2011,1.4 petrol - Advise on engine management light code P0011; - Spatacus

Hello,

Am after a bit of advise;my engine management light came on the other day; so i had the RAC come over to plug in their equipment which came up with the following:-"DTC-P0011 camshaft position "A",timing over-advanced or system performance".The rac mechanic advised is could be an issue with my camshaft position sensor.

As my car is underwarrenty i called kia and advised them as to what was happening,(as the car was a bit "hesitant"/"juddering" when driving intermittenly).They have arranged a booking for me in a weeks time.

What i needs to know is will my car last till then?Kia didn't really seem bothered.

It may just stop dead if the camshaft position sensor..... but, I hope your service history is up to date and on time/mileage and a full Kia history, or you might have to produce detailed invoices to get the benefit of the warranty.

If you can manage without, drop the car off and ask them to do it asap.
