Alarm goes off randomly when unlocking car, I've had lots of advice and failed to cure it. I've now had enough, and out of respect for my neighbours I wish to silence the alarm. It appears to be behind the trim in the lefthand luggage area. Can I simply disconnect it? Or should I wire in its place a 12v bulb of similar wattage so that the system "thinks" the horn is still there? Or am I in danger of really messing things up?
