2.0 tdci 140 - Ford kuga starter motor - ste f

Hi please help when I press the start button the car starts fine but the starter motor continues to spin for about 3-5 seconds after doesn't sound very good any idea if it's the starter needs replacing or something else

The starter is switched electronically,so I would suggest you get the battery tested.The engine may turn over ok,but you need a good voltage to turn the system off.

Hi battery is new and working fine car runs spot on just started doing this today

Any unusual noises from clutch/gearbox area or when pressing clutch pedal?could be clutch debris stuck on starter pinion?

No everything fine it's Deff the starter motor not disengaged
