Volvo C30 - Anti Skid Service due - scot22

Warning came on Anti Skid Service due and about 20 minutes later going up a hill limp mode kicked in.

Called out RAC and reading showed fualt

DTC : 4487.EGR control

DTC: 44AO.EGR valve.

Going to take it to trusted garage - What can I expect please ? Probable cost ??

As the car is based on a Focus,with similar engines,then parts are not a problem.If it is a diesel,then I would expect the job to be around £300

I realise this requires a crystal ball but would value a best guess. Garage can take it in on Thursday (mechanic off etc, genuinely unable if going to treat all customers fairly) Am i safe to drive locally - furthest journey 20 miles each way ? or do I cancel appointments ?

Can't see that being a problem.egr valve faults are very often intermittent,so just be Careful how you drive.
