Mercedes-benz 300 sl - Fuel injection - dan86

Hi all

Was going to go out for a drive in the roadsters but I couldn't get her started turns out the high pressure fuel pump is knackered. (Going to sort out a replacement in the week).

Was talking to a friend about the car and he was saying to replace the mechanical fuel injection with a retro fit EFI kit to make the car more reliable but I don't think I should as it will take away the originality of the car what are back roomers thoughts?

Keep the mechanical kit so it can be reinstalled if a future buyer wants authentic mechanical FI problems? ;D

Keep the original kit, but if you are feeling flush, mercedes will fix i for you, but have deep pockets! I hink i posted a link in your earlier thread. Good luck!

Thanks I might look in to it but will have to give it some serious thought as I do like classic cars to be original
