VW Golf 2005 1.6 FSI - VW Golf MK5 Radio Replacement - JakeRyan

Hi all,

Looking to swap out the factory radio head unit for a nice 8" screen multi-function unit. I was just wondering what the USB cable adaptor is for on the new radio unit, my only guess would be for power but I thought that wouldve came off the wiring harness??

Power comes via the large square quadlock connector and the canbus box.The usb connector will be for external audio source ie i-phone.
