The door on my Peugeot 307 refuses to unlock?

"One of the doors on my Peugeot 307 locked itself and has refused to unlock, both through the inside and through outside "
We would at this stage try spraying something like WD40 / penetrating oil into the mechanism to see if the lock itself it just jammed or stuck. If this doesn't work then you will need to strip the inside door panel and see what the actual fault is.

I've seen a car with 104k miles on it for sale for £1000, should I buy it?

"I've seen a 2006 Peugeot 307 for sale for £1000. It has 104,000 miles on it. What do you think?"
It's buttons money, but the car might need a lot doing to it: timing belt, tensioner, waterpump, aux belt; plus brakes, tyres, exhaust. Easy to spend at least another £1000 on it, which will be why it's so cheap in the first place.

My Peugeot 307 won't turn off, what do I do?

"How can I make my Peugeot 307 stop running. I tried taking the key out and disconnected the battery, but it's still running. It's very annoying as we have to leave the car ticking over on our driveway."
Presumably it's a diesel. If so, the reason it won't stop running is that the engine is compression ignition and is running on its sump oil, either because the level is too high or because the turbo bearing oil seal has failed. If you can cut off the air supply, that will strangle it, but be very, very, very careful not to tangle yourself or any rags or clothing in moving engine parts.

Does a head gasket repair also mean an engine refurb?

"I have a 2008 Peugeot 307 and need a head gasket repair. Does a head gasket repair also constitute an engine refurb?"
No. But it's a big job, requiring the head off, any broken studs replacing, head and block re-facing, new timing belt, etc, so it won't be cheap.
