Is it worth swapping our MINI Cooper S for a newer model to save on running costs?
We have a MINI Cooper S 07-plate with 35,000 miles that we love, but feel it can be expensive to run. Our local BMW MINI dealer has told us we can save money by swapping now, with various savings on the new MINI Cooper including free servicing, lower tax and insurance, fuel economy, pre-registered 60-plate old models etc. We are considering swapping and have been offered about £9000 against a new model. Would the new model offer these supposed savings and is this a fair offer for ours?

He's trying to get rid of old stock built before the July 2010 improvements. They are not the latest model MINIs that have a lot of improvements. Don't go for the deal.
