Could you advise me on buying a dash cam?

I'm looking into buying a dash cam after two near misses this evening. Please could you advise on them as know nothing about them?

Aside from possibly making your insurance cheaper, dash cams can settle insurance disputes much faster and save you money by proving an accident wasn't your fault. You can pick up cheap ones, but obviously you get what you pay for. The higher end dash cams offer features like GPS and Lane Departure as well - so get one that suits your needs.
