Should I get the emissions update on my Skoda Fabia 1.6 TDI?

I have a Skoda Fabia 1.6 TDI. I just got the recall letter for the emissions upgrade, but I'm not happy to do it. Have any Fabia 1.6 TDI owners had it done and what was the outcome?

If the car is low mileage and properly maintained it should work. If it's high mileage and/or badly maintained it probably won't work and the car will need at least a new EGR: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/skoda/fabia-2007/?se...d
