My car was hit and I wasn't at fault - so why has my premium increased?

My car was hit in France whilst parked in October 2016. The owner of the other car admitted full responsibility and signed a statement. The repair to my car has been paid by my insurer, less my excess. The insurer of the other car has not paid my insurer, the AA underwritten by AXA, even though they confirm cover and accept liability on a without prejudice basis. AXA have chased since January. My insurance renewal documents in March show 'Declarations of the Driver Hit whilst parked TP known (fault)'. Rather than reading non fault. Needless to say premium was greatly increased. So I'm penalised by an insurer with a 'fault' on my record and increased cost premium together with excess payment unsettled by an insurance company.
Please can you recommend any action to correct the situation.

You need to give your insurer a serious bit of ear bashing. Ask to see copies of the correspondence that they have sent to the other party's insurer. AXA need to issue proceedings against the other insurer to resolve the matter. If AXA do not do this, then you need to complain to their Chief Exec as a complaint and contact the Financial Ombudsman Service. Make sure you advise it is a chief exec complaint, and not a normal one. It should then have someone who is a bit more switched on to look at it. The details held on the FCA register for you to complain are:
