Buying a new petrol car with sizeable boot for £22,000 - what would you recommend?

We want to change our Honda Jazz for something bigger and higher off the ground. We want a petrol engine and sizeable boot and have a budget of around £22,000. We are looking at the Peugeot 2008, Nissan Qashqai and Renault Scenic. We have discounted the Skoda Yeti because it came 10th in your 2016 complaints report. What would you advise please?

Actually, £22,000 is too much for a 2008 1.2 Puretech 130 6-speed GT with Grip Control. It's £19,500 OTR. Alternatively, you could push the boat out and buy a Suzuki Vitara S 1.4 T BoosterJet 4WD. Or haul the boat in and get a Dacia Duster 1.2 TCe 125 4x4 for £14,895. All tested in www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/ Another possibility is a SEAT Ateca 1.0 TSI or 1.4 TSI.
