Is there a tyre sealant I can use in case of a puncture on my Volkswagen Touran?

I have just bought a Volkswagen Touran with seven seats which does not have a spare wheel. It has an air compressor and a bottle of sealant. The instructions state that after use the tyre must not be used, and must be replaced. Is there a sealant that can be used which does not lead to the tyre being replaced, but can be repaired?

There are sealants but I am not going to take the responsibility of recommending any, in contradiction of the tyre manufacturers who have spent millions developing runflat tyres to do the same job.
