Honda CR-V petrol alternatives?
I'm considering a nearly new family car after the birth of my son. I recently test drove the Honda CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC nine-speed auto. It was great, but due to my small mileage of 10k per year I wanted to get the 2.0 petrol. Now I know your not a fan of this engine gearbox set up up, so my questions are:
1. Are Honda replacing CR-V anytime soon?
2. If so is there a chance of them using a smaller turbo petrol engine with more torque In the future?
3. If any other suitable car that fit the bill being as spacious, as reliable and as well engineered as the Honda?

No word on a new CR-V yet, but there could be one because Honda is moving production our of Swindon and Swindon will concentrate on the new Civic five-door hatchback. www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/honda/civic-2017/
One of the options for that is a new 182PS 1.5iVTC turbo, so the right engine already exists and comes with the option of a CVT automatic transmission. Otherwise your best bet is probably the slightly smaller Suzuki Vitara S 1.4T BoosterJet six-speed automatic.
