Is the BMW 320d auto suitable for towing a caravan?

I am thinking of buying a BMW 320d Auto GT M Sport, do these cars have a problem with towing because of the auto gearbox? If they do, does this apply to other auto vehicles as well?

318dGT test here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/bmw/bmw-318d-gran-.../? Details of the other models but it had just been announced and I did not get the towing weights. I can't see any problem in towing with the eight-speed torque converter auto. Your dealer can give you the towing capacity.
