Thank you. Very interesting. It includes the statement from VAG: "The software update will have no adverse influences on (fuel) consumption or the durability of the engine and its components." We have no reports of actual damage so far, but plenty of "rattling" noises, loss of power and increases in fuel consumption from 2.0TDI 140 engines in Tiguans and 1.2TDI engines in Polo size cars. If you believe VAG company spokesmen, you'll believe anyone.
