Do I have to declare a no-fault claim when getting an insurance quote?

Somebody hit my girlfriend's car whilst it was parked on the street, damaging the front wing/bumper and requiring £1000 repairs including labour. The driver of the other car very kindly left a note and it was arranged to deal with the repairs through their insurance. She's now looking to renew her insurance - does she need to declare this as a no-fault claim?

Yes, emphatically yes. It must be disclosed. Will go down as a non-fault claim but will still affect her premium.
