Buying a new SUV - SEAT Ateca or Mazda CX-3?

I read your review of SEAT Ateca and I was wondering what would you choose if you were in my position?

I live in a place where winters can be very strong , with lots of snow , also the curvy roads do not help (at least during the rest of the year you can have a blast on mountain roads). Because of this I want to buy a small SUV which will have four-wheel drive, but again one which is fun on twisty roads and reliable as I would like to keep it for at least 7-8 years.

I can't decide between Mazda CX-3 with 2.0 engine (AWD manual) or the new Ateca (1.4 TSI AWD manual). I am looking for the most fun, reliable and feel good car. Which one would you choose?

Difficult question. The Ateca is squarer with bigger interior. Not much to choose in handling. But if you want to save some money (about £10,000), consider the Dacia Duster 1.2 TCe 125 AWD at £14,895 (+£450 for DAB and satnav). No status, but a very good car, all weather tyres as standard and you'll be less worried about scratching it: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/dacia/dacia-duster.../

Probably the best handling car in its class. Lots of room for those in the back along with a large boot. Good value for money. Range of economical and swift engines.
