Replacement for Mercedes A180 CDI

We love our 2007 Mercedes A180 CDI automatic, especially the high driving position (making getting in and out so easy for bad backs). With 80k on the clock, do we stay put and hope for another 50k or is there likely to be trouble just around the corner? If we need to change, what should we get?

There could be trouble ahead, but the value is now relatively low (about £4,000) so probably makes sense to soldier on. You could consider a KIA Venga, Hyundai ix20, Ford B-Max, Vauxhall Meriva, or maybe the new Peugeot 3008 with EAT6 automatic transmission.
